Colleen Meadows {November 2, 1935 — November 25, 2015}

My Bubby’s middle name was given after his Great Grandma Colleen. I wish he had got to know her better.

We love you, Grandma.

COLLEEN MEADOWS, Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully November 25th after a sudden illness, with her family gathered around her. Colleen and her twin brother Carlain were born in Hastings Oklahoma on November 2nd, 1935 to loving parents Stanley and Opal Scott. Along with three other siblings her family moved and settled in the Lamont area as part of the migration west during the Dust Bowl Era. Mom attended Sunset Elementary and then Arvin High. Mom married the love of her life Jim and together they established a very successful business Sunset TV for over 30 years. She was a proud member of the Ladies of the Moose where she just won her first shuffleboard tournament last week. She could always be counted on to participate in any and all fund raising events. Mom never met a stranger , had lots of spirit, spunk and a big heart. Mom is survived by her loving family, daughter Brenda, her spouse Bill, her son Craig and his spouse Susie. Her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Carri Meadows. As per mom’s request, no services will be held.
